With their ancient architecture, you'd almost think the Arènes de Montmartre were a relic of antiquity: but make no mistake, they were built as a tribute to that historic period, in 1941, on the initiative of a local association, the P'tits Poulbots. All year round, and especially in summer, it's the neighborhood's artistic mecca, where one art festival, concert and event follows another! On Saturday, July 15, 2023, from 3pm to 9pm, we strongly advise you to take advantage of the Festival des Arènes and its many free events.
On the program? The multi-disciplinary Festival des Arènes offers not only an open-air exhibition, concerts by musicians in the streets of Montmartre and a painting workshop for the little ones, but also a French Cancan show in the finest Parisian tradition, live painting to create a beautiful participatory fresco...
Two associations, Bandabacchus and Samba et un Mars, are at the helm of this exciting project, giving visibility to Montmartre artists and, above all, enabling local residents (and anyone else who's curious) to meet up in a festive and particularly convivial atmosphere. You'll even be able to eat at the festival, as a food stand will be set up on site.
For a free outing with family or friends, come to the Montmartre Arena this Saturday, July 15, 2023!
