A new cult musical arrives in Paris! From December 5, 2025 to January 10, 2026, the iconic Broadwayshow La Cage aux Folles arrives at the Théâtre du Châtelet, with a new French production and Laurent Lafitte! Directed by Olivier Py, the musical reinstates the work in its cabaret context.
The new French production of La Cage aux Folles tells the story of Georges, owner of a drag queen cabaret in Saint-Tropez, and his companion Albin, star of the show under the name "Zaza". The plot centers on their son, Jean-Michel, who announces his marriage to Anne, the daughter of an ultra-conservative politician. To avoid a scandal, Jean-Michel asks his parents to pretend to be a "traditional" family when meeting the future in-laws. A musical exploring themes of acceptance, family and identity.
