He's alone on stage, armed only with his hands... Cédric Chapuis, in the Théâtre de la Tour Eiffel in Paris, tells us the story of his passion for the tak-tak-boum-boum. He learns on the job, listens to his grandmother's old jazz records, is moved by Louis Armstrong and, one day, is given a rusty old drum kit by his parents: he's over the moon.
In the background, life takes its course. The little man goes to school, isn't very good at it, repeats a year, is approached by a girl who ends up jumping on him and (genius idea!) advises him to start a band. His boundless love of the drums comes up against the constraints of the band: rehearsals are difficult, the neighbors call the cops and the friends think the drums are too loud. Cédric Chapuis plays Adrien Lepage in Une vie sur mesure at the Théâtre de la Tour Eiffel in Paris.
In this one-man show, the adventures of this completely out-of-this-world boy, simply and solely in love with drums, are funny, moving and, above all, spiced up by exceptional musical passages: we learn a little about the different drumming techniques, and hear rock, jazz and bossa nova. Cédric Chapuis explores all the possibilities of the drums with infectious glee. The whole audience is dying to dance, and can't contain themselves from waddling into the theater seats... A wonderful experience! A life made to measure, to be discovered in Paris at the Théâtre de la Tour Eiffel, from January 12 to 26, 2025!
