Molière has always been considered the "patron" of the Comédie-Française, even though he was already dead when the permanent troupe of Comédiens-Français was created. To pay tribute to him, every year on January 15, the date of his birth, a ceremony is held in the Salle Richelieu, in the heart of the Palais-Royal. This Monday, January 15, 2025 at 8:30 pm, following the performance of Le Malade imaginaire, the entire troupe will gather, along with the public, who have been graciously invited for the occasion.
You'll need to be very keen to attend, as almost 200 tickets in all categories will be distributed free of charge at the last minute, 1h30 before the start of the performance. See you at the Comédie-Française's Petit Bureau, from 7pm!
The other tickets have been offered to schoolchildren, the underprivileged and the disabled. If you can't make it, the tribute will be broadcast live on the website.
