Le Poids des Fourmis runs from March 7 to 15 at the Théâtre Paris-Villette. Between adolescent revolt, citizen resistance and the excesses of power, the play questions, with humor and bite, our ability to act in the face of the world's injustices.

Le Poids des Fourmis invitesyou to laugh at the worst, in a political satire of the world. With a frenzied rhythm, the play remains jovial and joyful, while pushing you to reflect on the problems of the modern world. Discover it from March 7 to 15 at Théâtre Paris-Villette.

The satirical play Le Poids des Fourmis tells the story of Jeanne and Olivier, who carry the weight of a world in crisis on their shoulders. She attacks advertising by vandalizing it, while he dreams of a huge inferno where his generation will burn like a marshmallow. When a school election is launched as part of the cruelly underfunded Future Week, a glimmer of hope lights up in them: what if they could finally change things? Opposite them in this chaotic election campaign, they wage a frantic battle, between fiery speeches, clandestine maneuvers, dubious alliances and... a certain unicorn who's stirring up trouble...

Halfway between a delirious political satire and a mirror of our collective anxieties, Le Poids des fourmis explores the themes of citizen resistance and the excesses of power and politics. At once biting and abundant, the play pushes spectators to question not only the burden they bear, but also the influence they can exert on the world around them, in a demented satire. Recommended for ages 13 and up.
