Stroll through 13,500m2 of floor space... That's what the Grand Palais is offering when it exceptionally opens its Nave, empty for the occasion, to the public on June 9, 10, 16 and 17, 2018. A free visit to one of the capital's most imposing spaces, and currently Europe's largest glass roof. Entitled La Nef est à vous (The Nave is yours), this exceptional opening to the public enables everyone to find out more about this site, which has been listed as a historic monument since 1975, its architecture and its creator, Henri Deglane.
There's no need to book, as visits are free of charge from 2pm to 7pm on June 9-10 and June 16-17!
During these two weekends, two other tour options are available to onlookers and other architecture enthusiasts: a 45-minute guided tour (of which there are 4, between 2:30 and 5:30 p.m.) led by lecturers from the Réunion des musées nationaux - Grand Palais, or a 1h10 "disguised" tour (of which there are 4, between 2:30 and 5:30 p.m.), led by Bertrand Bossard, the inventor of the concept, and Solal Bouloudnine, an actor. The idea behind this second option? Introduce visitors to a place steeped in history through unusual tours and " unique creations ".
Reservations are recommended for these group tours (25 people for guided tours, 40 people for "disguised" tours).
A great way to discover one of Paris's most emblematic monuments and its history.
