A great opportunity for a family outing... The Cité des Sciences et de l' Industrie invites you to discover its latest exhibition, Fragiles! from February 19, 2022 to January 8, 2023. This exhibition has been specially designed for children aged 2 to 6, inviting them to discover the little world of Windy, Iggy, Folia, Glitch and Plote, respectively a balloon, an egg, a sheet of paper, soap and a ball of wool. These characters are brought back to reality by Roky the pebble, pointing out their fragility until he breaks, ultimately more fragile than the others.
Through their adventures, children are confronted with the fragility of various objects, and are led to try to overcome them in order to repair Roky. The aim? To understand the properties of various "fragile" objects, and the mechanisms of falling, through storytelling. The story is told in a way that children can also experiment with, to learn more about the concept of fragility.
The tour is divided into five rooms/themes, each dealing with different aspects of fragility, culminating at the end of the exhibition in a "Cuddle Room " where children can cuddle cushions, comforters and other stuffed animals representing the characters, with a view to learning how to care for others. By cuddling these characters, they realize that fragility can also be a strength.
In short, it's a great exhibition to discover and learn all about the fragility of objects... And a great way to keep kids busy while learning about science!
