To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the iconic Levi's 501 jeans, the brand has teamed up with textile artist Ian Berry to create a denim mural to be discovered free of charge at the Fluctuât Nec Mergitur coffee shop, Place de la République, from March 16th to 19th 2023.
The eventful work, made from upcycled 501s, will illustrate the history of the famous model and its values to the curious passers-by at the coffee shop, which will be transformed into a temporary exhibition space. Ian Berry, who specializes in the collage of recycled denim, will use the mythical jeans as a medium in this couture fresco revealing portraits of communities that are important in the heritage of the 501.
Cowboys from 1880, Queer from the 70's and Punk from the 90's are drawn through this unique installation, a real altar in indigo canvas, a tribute to the iconic model that has crossed styles and generations.
Meet the London artist on March 16, 2023 in the 10th arrondissement of Paris to discover this original work and meet him. After its residency on the Place de la République, the fresco will then be exhibited in Milan, then Madrid.
An unusual & freefashion exhibition, and above all a new good plan to note in your agenda!
