To coincide with the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Lafayette Anticipations invites you to discover its new exhibition, La Ruée vers l'or, from June 22 to September 1, 2024. An artistic leisure park with free, open access, imagined by students in the vocational stream at the Lycée Alfred Nobel in Clichy-sous-Bois, also on offer at the Atelier Médicis in Clichy-sous-Bois from June 1 to July 27, 2024. We visited this artistic park and tell you all about it!

Lafayette Anticipations is getting into the spirit of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, and transforming itself into an unprecedented playground! From June 22 to September 1, 2024, the museum is offering art lovers and the curious a brand new exhibition, entitled La Ruée vers l'or (The Gold Rush). Much more than an exhibition, it's a total immersion in an amusement park designed by the innovative minds of 40 high school students, in collaboration with Ateliers Médicis and ebb.global. These young talents invite us to explore their dreams and preoccupations through a playful, interactive experience, reflecting a world both deranged and ideal. Note also that Ateliers Médicis is also offering part of the works, from June 1 to July 28, 2024.

The project is the fruit of meticulous, multi-year work, orchestrated by ebb.global, the teaching staff and, of course, the high school students themselves. The park is an in-depth reflection on new sporting practices, born of the overflowing imagination of these young people, inspired by atypical sporting routes or proposing new rules of the game. Theexhibition space, borrowing visual codes from the entertainment industry, offers a bold alternative to our society, questioning its values and established norms.

Through this exhibition, the collaboration between the Alfred Nobel high school in Clichy-sous-Bois, Ateliers Médicis and ebb. global aims to enhance the skills of young people and open up new career paths. La Ruée vers l'or doesn't just offer entertainment: it is a veritable dream machine, reimagining amusement parks as places for reflection and inspiration. Through models, installations and a manga published for the occasion, this multidisciplinary project offers a unique vision of the great contemporary myths, inviting everyone to let themselves be carried away on a journey to the heart of the collective imagination.

The pitch: the Olympic flame has been stolen by a hacker, and you'll have to answer questions to find a code word, defeat the final boss and retrieve the flame so that it can run again. An interactive experience that invites you to try your hand at new sporting disciplines, all set in a landscape between post-apocalypse and the contemporary world.

How does it work? At the Lafayette Anticipations reception desk, you pick up a QR code (5 euros if you take part; the exhibition is free if you don't), then head up to the second floor. There, a video shows you the ins and outs of the mission. Then it's up to you to try your hand at the various attractions on offer, which are very much geared to children (don't hesitate to bring the whole family, as the exhibition is designed with younger visitors in mind). Baby Ninja Warrior, foot-golf, interactive screen, shuttle piloting, hologram, table soccer revisited, rodeo... enough to keep you entertained for a good hour. On the last floor, the final boss will ask you for a code word, allowing you to release the flame (you'll have to "fight" a bit, though... you'll understand once you get there).

An exhibition/entertainment park that we were able to visit during a vernissage. And it's particularly pleasant: the attractions are very accessible, easily for children, and the story told through these works/attractions is rather limpid... That's pretty rare for a contemporary art exhibition. We love it! The interactivity is there, and Lafayette Anticipations ' modular spaces lend themselves particularly well to this type of animation. You can score goals, test your agility or even your speed on the various attractions. Some require interaction, others simply contemplation. There's also a mini fashion exhibition at the very end of the experience, adding a touch of fashion and sport to the whole experience. All in all, a great experience to discover during the Olympic Games!

So, are you ready for an entertaining and colorful journey?
