Le magasin de lit is an exhibition to be found in a real bed store, at 80 Boulevard de Sébastopol, from 7pm to 10pm, in the heart of the Marais. The artist, Aurore Guez, awaits you for an immersive, out-of-this-world experience. Very active on social networks, she now has over 9,000 followers, and her exhibitions have already attracted over 2,000 participants .
Aurore Guez, a young 22-year-old artist, began by realizing that art was not accessible to all, and was fed up with museums with white walls. She came up with the idea of creating atypical exhibitions, with a place and a concept, exploring the different senses. Four exhibitions were born. The first, 3 years ago, took place in a Latin American grocery store, with a recreation of the Amazon rainforest in the basement. The second took place in a mobile truck in the heart of Paris, with guests including comedian Natoo and artist Upslione. The third took place in a taboo place: a toilet, with a DJ set to entertain visitors. And finally, the fourth in a reproduction of a fast-food restaurant inspired by the American diner of the 60s. All these exhibitions were accompanied by actors playing a role and a scenography, putting you in full immersion.
For her new exhibition, taking place in a 300m² bed store, the owners of the boutique have given her free rein, and Aurore Guez intends to take over the premises. Guests will be welcomed with night caps and torches, as the exhibition will take place in the store's basement... The event is free of charge, to make it accessible to all.
