LVMH, premium partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, is launching its Cultural Olympiad, an original artistic journey in collaboration with its Houses such as Berluti, Dior, Guerlain, Louis Vuitton and la Samaritaine. This initiative celebrates the union betweenart, sport and Olympic values, while highlighting the expertise and commitment of LVMH artisans. Visitors to 7 of the group's emblematic addresses will be able to discover exhibitions and artistic creations revolving around sport, before, during and after the Games.
In collaboration with photographer, dancer and choreographer Mathieu Forget, the Italian fashion house presents an exhibition exploring the world of Olympic and Paralympic sports through the prism of athlete movement. Enriched with iconic Berluti pieces or sportswear, the shots are magnified by iconic French (sports) settings. From June 1 to September 9, 2024, come and admire this free exhibition in the Faubourg Saint Honoré setting, where photography blends sport and fashion to reveal the subtleties of the art of gesture.
From June 19 to September 9, 2024, Dior will exhibit a series of photographs highlighting the House's sports ambassadors. These portraits illustrate audacity and excellence by fusing the worlds of sport and fashion in the iconic Avenue Montaigne store.
Guerlain puts gold in the spotlight with thephotographic exhibition "Or Norme", in conjunction with the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. From June 6 to September 12, 2024, visit the Maison Guerlain on the Champs-Élysées to discover the works of 16 artists, exploring all the facets of this precious metal that stirs up all kinds of envy and makes athletes dream during competitions.
Maison Louis Vuitton, meanwhile, is pulling out all the stops with two sport-chic exhibitions in iconic locations:
- From June 18 to December 31, 2024, LV DREAM will feature a room entirely dedicated to the historic links between sport and Louis Vuitton through archives, photos and unique objects. The exhibition will also be enhanced by a selection of pieces illustrating the major role of sport in the history of the House, notably in the innovation of modes of travel and clothing trends.
- At the Maison de Famille in Asnières, the"La Malle Courrier" exhibition is extended until December 31, 2024, and enriched with new pieces closely linked to the world of sport. The exhibition features iconic trunks by Kim Jones and Virgil Abloh, as well as exclusive objects and accessories for the upstairs "cabinet of curiosities" area.
La Samaritaine celebrates physical activity by transforming itself into a giant podium from April 30 to September 8, 2024. For the occasion, the address is unveiling three free exhibitions that are sure to get you going. Immerse yourself in a century of pure sports entertainment with "Les Légendes Mondiales du sport". Terence Darrigade opens the doors of his private collection, overflowing with a hundred objects belonging to the greatest athletes, for an epic journey through the finest moments in sporting history. Meanwhile, through her installation "Domestic Games, les femmes à l'épreuve", Camille Menard / Agnst Design will question the place of sport in our daily lives and the status of women in international competitions. Finally, Fisheye magazine will feature a series of photos by Enzo Lefort, member of the French foil team and ambassador for Louis Vuitton & LVMH, capturing all the passion of high-level sports through his sharp lens.
The Fondation Louis Vuitton is also getting into the spirit of sport with a new dedicated exhibition: "La Collection, Rendez-vous avec le sport" from May 7 to September 9, 2024. Featuring works by 5 French and international artists - Abraham Poincheval, Andreas Gursky, Roman Signer, Omar Victor Diop and Jean-Michel Basquiat - it will offer an offbeat vision of the world of sport. For the occasion, Jean-Michel Basquiat and Andy Warhol's "Olympic Rings" will also be on display. As the icing on the cake, the Fondation Louis Vuitton will also host the passage of the Paris 2024 Olympic Flame.
