The Paris 2024 Olympics promise us a great journey with the Olympic Flame route through the French capital. This route offers an exceptional program that you wouldn't want to miss. Where does the Olympic Flame pass through on July 14 and 15, then on July 26 for the opening ceremony, and what are the not-to-be-missed events along the way? we tell you all about it!

The Olympic Flame crosses the capital this Sunday, July 14 and Monday, July 15, as well as this July 26 for the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games . As you can imagine, it's a crazy journey that's planned to take us through historic, cultural, popular and emblematic places to discover or rediscover the capital in a new light. And it's all accompanied by unique, even unusual, events to delight our eyes. See details of the route and timetable below.

The Olympic Flame will pass through each of Paris's arrondissements, highlighting sites as diverse as the Bataclan, Bastille,Assemblée Nationale, Place de la Concorde, Place des Vosges, Goutte d'or, Belleville and Porte de la Chapelle. Places of worship such as Notre-Dame and the Grande Mosquée de Paris, as well as cultural venues such as the Louvre and the Grand Rex, will also be on the route.

Key moments in the journey :

  • July 14: central route from the Champs-Élysées to the military parade, ending on the Parvis de l'Hôtel de Ville.
  • July 15: from the 11th to the 20th arrondissements, ending at Place de la République.
  • July 26: the Flame descends from Saint-Denis via the Canal de Saint-Denis, the Bassin de Villette and the Canal Saint-Martin, before reappearing on the Seine for the Opening Ceremony.

For its arrival in the capital, the flame will travel through the center of Paris to the 10th arrondissement, before ending on the majestic Terrasse des Jeux at the Hôtel de Ville, where the famous Grand Concert awaits. The Flame will light up the cauldron at around 11.10pm, launching the City of Paris Fireworks display from the Eiffel Tower. Expect a unique show revolving around Paris and its values, featuring for the first time in history, more than 1,000 drones for what promises to be a wild show. A series of rhythmic, breathtaking scenes will pay tribute to the capital and the main Olympic and Paralympic disciplines.

Throughout the day, don't miss the following highlights:

  • The captivating performance of acrobat Yoann Bourgeois on the Place du Panthéon (5th);
  • The Paris Pop Party, with a DJ set by Radio Cargo on Place du Colonel-Fabien (10th/19th);
  • Original interpretations of famous French opera arias by the D.I.V.A lyric quartet at the Petit Palais (8th);
  • A colorful Drag Bingo at Le Marais (Paris Centre);
  • TheHôtel de Ville will remain open all night, allowing Parisians and visitors to admire the flame.
  • The Grand Concert at the Hôtel de Ville

On July 15, the flame will continue its journeyfrom the 11th to the 20th arrondissements, ending its journey at the Place de la République in a friendly and lively atmosphere:

  • A show by choreographer Sadeck Berrabah will be held at Sacré-Cœur (18th);
  • A guinguette led by the orchestra Les Balochiens will be the attraction at Place Léon-Blum (11th).
  • The free Place de la République concert with Jain, Ofenbach and Mentissa.

The route on July 14, 2024

  • 12:50pm: Rond-point des Champs-Elysées (8e)

  • 1:00 pm: Petit Palais (8e) - The D.I.V.A lyrical quartet will take up the great arias of French opera in a festive, offbeat performance on the steps of the Petit Palais.

  • 1:25pm: Assemblée Nationale - Place du Palais Bourbon (7th)

  • 1:40pm: Saint-Germain-des-Prés - Boulevard Saint-Germain (6e) - Singer and guitarist Thomas Curbillon performs a jazz concert to entertain the audience.

  • 2.10pm: Sénat - Jardin du Luxembourg (6th arrondissement)

  • 2:30 pm: Place du Panthéon (5th) - Artist Yoann Bourgeois will unveil a bespoke performance around a moving circular stage.

  • 2:50pm: Place de la Sorbonne (5th)

  • 3:35pm: Parvis de l'Institut du Monde Arabe (5e) - Artist Zepha exhibits a collaborative work based on the meeting of alphabets.

  • 3:50pm: Île de la Cité - Parvis Notre-Dame (Paris Centre) - The Paris Fire Brigade gymnastics section offers spectators an artistic and sporting performance.

  • 3:55pm: Pont Notre-Dame (Paris Centre) - Covered with giant flowers by Nicolas Vendroux, the Pont Notre-Dame will be taken over by performers on stilts from the Zizanie company.

  • 4.15pm: Place Monique Antoine (Paris Centre)

  • 4.20pm: Musée Carnavalet - Rue des Francs Bourgeois (Paris Centre)

  • 4:35pm: Place des Vosges - Maison Victor Hugo (Paris Centre)

  • 5:10pm: Place de la Bastille (Paris Centre) - TheOpéra Bastille offers spectators the chance to take part in a giant dance lesson.

  • 5:50pm: Paris Plages - Quai de Jemmapes (10th arrondissement)

  • 6:10pm: Jardin Marielle Franco - Rue d'Alsace (10e) - Artist Mathilde Guégan exhibits a collaborative fresco and portrait in tribute to Marielle Franco.

  • 6:50 p.m.: Place du Colonel Fabien (10e) - Spectators will be treated to a Paris Pop Party with a DJ set by Radio Cargo.

  • 7:05pm: Rue des Martyrs - Place Lino Ventura (9th arrondissement) - Music and street art meet asartist-painter Lorem and saxophonist Kazimir present a fresco and musical interludes respectively.

  • 7:25pm: Olympia - Boulevard des Capucines (9th)

  • 7:50pm: Place Vendôme (Paris Centre) - The young members of theOrchestre de Paris, made up of some 60 choristers, will give a concert.

  • 8:00 p.m.: Rue de Rivoli (Paris Centre) - Spectators can watch a grand parade of soft mobility, led by the Paris Roller team.

  • 8:20pm: Louvre - Pyramide du Louvre (Paris Centre)

  • 9:30pm: Esplanade de la Samaritaine (Paris Centre)

  • 9:50pm: Jardin Nelson Mandela (Paris Centre) - The Sons of Wind company and choreographer Lumi Sow perform a hip-hop dance show.

  • 10:50pm: Parvis du center Pompidou (Paris Centre) - Spectators can listen to a poetic interlude by the poetic duo MOOVCELLO, combining classical music and hip-hop dance.

  • 23h00: Parvis de l'Hôtel de Ville (Paris Centre) - Terrasse des Jeux. The Grand Concert de Paris on July 14th awaits you. Its launch will mark the start of the City of Paris' July 14th Feu d'Artifice.

July 15 route

  • 8:10 am: Arena Porte de la Chapelle - Rue de la Chapelle (18th arrondissement) - In a musical atmosphere enlivened by a brass band, artist Clémence Gouy exhibits portraits of female athletes created for the Games.

  • 9:00 am: Montmartre - Parvis du Sacré-Coeur (18th) - Sadeck Berrabah's Murmuration company performs on the steps of the Sacré-Coeur.

  • 09:20: Place Blanche (18th arrondissement) - Moulin Rouge performers will be out of doors to present an original French Cancan.

  • 10:30 am: Jardin Solitude - Place du Général Catroux (17th) - TheKas orchestra (Guadeloupean drums) accompanied by Conques (Caribbean shell) blowers will pay musical tribute to Solitude.

  • 11:00 am: Arc de Triomphe - Place de l'Etoile (8th)

  • 11:45 am: Place du Trocadéro (16th)

  • 1:35pm: Île aux Cygnes (15th arrondissement)

  • 2:15pm: Parvis de la Mairie du XVe - Spectators can try their hand at Double Dutch, performed by The RopesStylers.

  • 2:40pm: Rue de Vaugirard (15th arrondissement) - A Roller Dance Party with music, open to all.

  • 3:00 pm: Place de Catalogne (14th arrondissement) - TheParislack association offers spectators the chance to try their hand at slacklining.

  • 3:15pm: Place Denfert Rochereau (14th arrondissement) - TheLa Sirène orchestra, founded in 1874, will offer music for all to enjoy with its festive brass band.

  • 3:40pm: Quartier de la Butte-aux-Cailles (13th arrondissement) - A large village festival will be held at Butte-aux-Cailles, with pétanque competitions, music and a ball.

  • 3.50pm: Parc des Buttes-Chaumont (19th) (escape of the flame) - Rendezvous at Parc des Buttes-Chaumont for a giant picnic open to all. Food and entertainment will be available on site.

  • 4:30pm: Boulevard Vincent Auriol (13th)

  • 5pm: Port de l'Arsenal - Passerelle Mornay (12e) - The company Portée par le vent will present an original kite show.

  • 6:10pm: Boulevard de la Bastille (12th)

  • 6:15pm: Place Léon Blum (11th arrondissement) - Spectators can take part in an exceptional popular dance organized by the guinguette band Les Balochiens.

  • 18h18: Place de la Bastille (Paris Centre)

  • 6:50pm: Place Edith Piaf (20th arrondissement) - In tribute to Edith Piaf, the Envie de chanter choir revisits the French chanson repertoire.

  • 7:15pm: Rue de Belleville (19th arrondissement) - The three collectives BADAUE (100% all-female batucada), ELITE LION DANCE (Franco-Asian dance) and VL PROD (Malian percussion) invite you on a journey with a parade of Asian, Brazilian and Malian percussion and dance.

  • 8:45pm: Finale at Place de la République (10th arrondissement) with a free concert featuring Jain, Ofenbach and Mentissa.... Don't forget to reserve your free tickets.
