This Sunday, July 14, 2024, we're celebrating the Fête nationale, but also the arrival of the Olympic flame in the capital! To mark the occasion, the City of Paris is pulling out all the stops, with a host of free events on the square in front of the Hôtel de Ville. A symphonic concert, the lighting of the cauldron and a torchlight vigil... Here's the musical and festive program that awaits you on July 14, 2024 on the forecourt of the Hôtel de Ville de Paris!

Parisians are gearing up for a rather special July 14, 2024 this summer. Because of the Olympic Games, the fireworks display will be held without spectators on the Champ-de-Mars, while the grand Concert de Paris has been moved to the square in front of the Hôtel de Ville. This is also where the Olympic flame will end its journey this Sunday evening, before a vigil in the Salle Saint-Jean.

This July 14, 2024, Parisians will therefore be living to the rhythm of the Fête nationale and the Olympic Games. As every year on the same date, the country celebrates the commemoration of the storming of the Bastille in 1789, with a program of popular balls and firemen's balls, the military parade, a garden party, the traditional fireworks display fired from the Eiffel Tower, not forgetting the grand Concert de Paris.

This year, because of the Olympic Games in Paris, the symphony concert changes venue. No music on the Champ-de-Mars, but a show moved to the forecourt of the Hôtel de Ville. As in previous editions, music lovers will be able to discover several classical works performed by the Radio France Choir and Maîtrise, and the Orchestre national de France. International musicians and soloists are also announced.
