July 14 fireworks at the Eiffel Tower without an audience due to the Olympic Games

No picnics on the quays, cancelled music festivals, closed metro stations- the summer of Parisians accustomed to their outings is turned upside down with the approach of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games ! Not to mention that this year, the July 14 fireworks will have to be fired from the Eiffel Tower, but without an audience on the Champ de Mars! In its place is an Olympic venue, which has been under construction in recent weeks, to host events from July 27.

It's a different kind of Fête Nationale , since on July 14 and 15, the Olympic flame will bepassing through the capital! For the occasion, the city has planned numerous events and festivities, including the concert, usually held in front of the Eiffel Tower, which has been moved to the Hôtel de Ville, in anticipation of thetorch's arrival at around 11pm. Once the cauldron has been lit, the fireworks can begin, a few kilometers further on!

While you won't be able to sit on the lawn to enjoy the show, there are plenty of other places to enjoy it, on board barges, on restaurant rooftops and many more! To continue the evening, a torchlight vigil will be held between 00:30 and 5:00 a.m., with registration required, for an extraordinary nocturnal visit.
