This year, Paris Plages adds a new play and swimming area. In addition to La Villette and the Rives de Seine, the Canal Saint-Martin is the place to enjoy summer in Paris this year. Here's the program.

The great novelty of this edition of Paris Plages 2024 is the Parisian Croisette on the Canal Saint-Martin, offering a stroll along both banks, with beaches and terraces reflecting the spirit of a seaside setting. The Croisette will be refocused around seven ports of call.

Paris Plage spots at Canal Saint-Martin

  • Jardin Villemin: sports sessions every Wednesday and Thursday, from 5pm to 7pm, in partnership with HYROX.

  • Point Éphémère: terrace extension and boulodrome for a convivial moment.

  • Square Eugène Varlin: energy arts classes, every day from 10am to 12pm.

  • Square Jemmapes pont Maria Casarès: wooden beach with deckchairs and parasols for relaxing.

  • Valmy and Jemmapes arms: new relaxation furniture and bathing area on the Jemmapes quay, perfect for relaxing and cooling off.

  • The bathing area and beaches on the bend at the foot of the Bichat footbridge: an ideal place to cool off.

  • Square des Récollets (Valmy): giant games area, table tennis and table soccer.

  • Place Poulmarch: quayside exhibition space, a cultural area for enriching discoveries.

Free cultural, leisure and sports activities

  • Jeu de Paume and Paris Musées photographic exhibitions: throughout the summer, two exhibitions will be set up on the banks of the Canal Saint-Martin. The Jeu de Paume will present a thematic retrospective on water and the river in Paris, captured by the greatest photographers of all time. Paris Musées will honor Mathieu Forget - dancer, actor, acrobat and choreographer - through 10 large-scale photographs taken in various Paris museums.
