But passengers will also have to contend with further traffic disruptions due to new modernization work. This is the case on metro line 6, RER line A and RER line B. " Work will resume on RER line B, in order to maintain, modernize and prepare for the arrival of future trains " warned RATP on its website at the start of the year.
The work is currently scheduled to take place between January and May. Several sections of this busy RER line are affected. Work resumed on the RER B line on January 6, with traffic scheduled to be interrupted until Wednesday April 30, 5 evenings a week, between Gare du Nord and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2-TGV / Mitry-Claye.
Then, until Friday April 25, 2025, no trains will run between Châtelet-Les Halles and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2-TGV / Mitry-Claye on weekday evenings from 10:45pm.
Several weekend closures are also scheduled on the RER B. Over the Easter weekend, for example, traffic will be interrupted between Aulnay-sous-Bois and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2-TGV.
In addition, RATP is announcing further disruptions to the interconnection at Gare du Nord, following those in February and March. Interconnection will therefore be suspended again from Saturday April 19 to Monday April 21, 2025. As a result, " a change of train will be necessary to continue your journey, from the underground station and the surface station ", explains the Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens, adding that " the transport offer will be greatly reduced by this interruption of the interconnection ".
