This Friday, February 7, the Yvelines, Val-d'Oise and Essonne regions have also been placed on yellow alert by Météo France for the risk of snow and freezing rain. According to the weather service, a few flakes could fall in the west of the Ile-de-France region on Thursday night and Friday morning. Météo France warns that"light snowfalls or mixed rain and snow will occur in the morning from the heights of the Pas-de-Calais, to the Normandy hills, the north of Ile-de-France and the Perche".
As a result, Transilien SNCF is announcing possible disruptions to transport services in the Île-de-France region. " Météo France has placed the Île-de-France region under yellow alert on Friday February 7. Snow and freezing rain are likely to disrupt traffic on certain Transilien lines " announced the network on its website on Thursday. RER lines A, B, C, D and E are affected by these possible disruptions, as are Transilien lines H, J, K, L, N, P, R U and V. Transilien SNCF advises passengers to check train timetables before arriving at stations.
In addition, we remind you that access to platforms can also become dangerous with snow or ice. "In the event of an episode of freezing temperatures and/or snowfall that is forecast or underway, station agents mobilize to sand or salt the platforms as well as the various platform access points from the evening before. It is possible that the platforms may become slippery again during the night, so it is important to remain very vigilant when you move around the station", reminds Transilien SNCF.
