A difficult start to the morning for RER B and D commuters this Tuesday, March 25, 2025. Due to a " breakdown on the network operator's installations at the entrance to Paris Gare du Nord ", traffic is currently partially disrupted on RER B and D.
In detail, trains are at a standstill on the RER B between Gare du Nord and Châtelet - Les Halles.
On the RER D, this signal failure is also cutting off train services between Paris Gare du Nord and Paris Gare de Lyon.
On both RER B and RER D, SNCF Transilien points out that traffic is also " severely slowed on the rest of the line ". As a result, users are invited to use alternative routes to get around, such as the metro (lines 4 and 5).
First announced at 7.30am, then at 9am, the estimated time of resumption of traffic is now around 11am. Stay tuned for further details.
