It's an event that's become a must since 2002: Paris Plages returns every year for even more relaxation, sunshine and ice cream by the water. This year, with the Olympic Games, the situation changes. Paris Plages expands with the introduction of a new relaxation site: the Canal Saint-Martin, designated as the new "Parisian Croisette". With this expansion ,Paris Plages promises a season rich in activities, extending the pleasure of urban vacations from July 6 to September 8.
To mark the arrival of the Olympic Games in Paris , Paris Plages is expanding beyond its traditional locations at the Bassin de la Villette and on the banks of the Seine for this 23rd season. This year, the Canal Saint-Martin in the 10th arrondissement welcomes the summer festivities, with a unique proposal for swimming and relaxation on both banks. A swimming area awaits you near Square Jacques Villemin for a refreshing dip. There's plenty of free entertainment on site until September 1.
Each site has its own identity, combining relaxation, sport, entertainment, cultural activities and catering. The Bassin de la Villette is dedicated to young people and families, with a wide range of fun activities. The Canal Saint-Martin offers a swimming area and aquatic entertainment, while the Rives de Seine park will offer a variety of cultural activities, extending the experience of the opening ceremony. While the Canal Saint-Martin and La Villette sites open on July 6, you'll have to wait until August 6 for the Rives de Seine events.

This year, Paris Plages expands to include the Canal Saint-Martin for swimming and relaxation. Workshops, games, quizzes, pétanque and dance classes are on the program for this new spot, which promises to be a lively one.
Once again,Paris Plages transforms the Bassin de la Villette into a summer resort. This year's activities focus on sports and swimming, canoeing, kayak polo, stand-up paddle, pedalos, pedal bikes, small boats and Hawaiian pirogues. There's also entertainment, trampolines, pétanque, dancing and reading. Fancy a dip in the Seine? Head to theBassin de la Villette bathing area on Quai de la Loire, where the pools are open free of charge every day from 11am to 9pm.
This summer, the Rives de Seine will once again be open for strolling, strolling and relaxing, but with a delay until August 6, as we'll have to wait for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games Ceremony. Accessible to all, the Terrace will open its doors continuously from July 14 to mark the arrival of the Olympic Flame, until September 8, 2024, offering 51 days of entertainment and festivities.
