The fire stations of Paris and the Île-de-France region open their doors to you free of charge on certain Saturdays and Sundays (depending on the station) throughout the year, giving you the chance to immerse yourself in the life of firefighters in and around the capital.
Every year, during the July 14th parade, the firefighters are the most acclaimed members of the crowd: everyday heroes, indispensable for saving lives or helping anyone in danger, the firefighters are also very much in the imagination of children, who often dream of becoming like them when they grow up. Every year, the fire departments of Paris and the Île-de-France region open their doors for a day to give young and old alike a behind-the-scenes look at a profession as dreamt of as it is perilous.
Come and meet the firefighters from your town, your district or the neighboring town during these open days, climb the firefighters' ladder "for real", watch the fire drill demonstrations... Children's activities are also on the agenda, although the program differs for each fire station.
Every weekend from May to June and from September to October, on Saturdays and Sundays, the fire stations open their doors, each in turn: admission is free, accessible to all, and no reservations are required. Little budding firefighters are likely to go home in the evening with stars in their eyes, while older children will be able to find out all about what happens during an intervention, during a day at the fire station... All you have to do is choose the fire station nearest you!
