The Hauts-de-Seine département is investing 78.4 million euros to transform the Grenouillère swimming pool into a modern aquatic center. Located south of the Parc de Sceaux, the new facility will open in November 2026. Work, which began in January 2024, will take 28 months to complete.

The Grenouillère swimming pool, which has been closed since 2020, enters a new era with the launch of renovation work. The aquatic center, located to the south of the Parc Départemental de Sceaux in Antony, promises to be an unmissable place for relaxation and sport. On June 22, Georges Siffredi, President of the Hauts-de-Seine département, accompanied by Daniel Courtès, département councillor responsible for sports, Jean-Yves Sénant, mayor ofAntony, Carl Ségaud, mayor of Châtenay-Malabry, and Philippe Laurent, mayor of Sceaux, laid the foundation stone for this future complex.

The project, led by architect Dietmar Feichtinger, includes three indoor and two outdoor pools, water play areas, relaxation areas, a solarium, a steam room, a sauna and arestaurant. Before its closure, the pool welcomed some 90,000 visitors from mid-May to the end of August. As you can imagine, the reopening is eagerly awaited.

Work, delayed due to high initial costs, finally began in early 2024. Handover of the aquatic center is scheduled for June 2026, followed by a public opening in November 2026. The project incorporates a strong environmental dimension, with 71% of the total surface area planted with vegetation, the creation of cool islands and the recovery of water for watering green spaces.

The old summer swimming pool has been demolished, paving the way for an ambitious project that will redefine the local landscape. The future Grenouillère aquatic center will be part of a landscape dialogue with the Domaine départemental de Sceaux and the new eco-neighborhood of Châtenay-Malabry, preserving the natural beauty of the site.

Swimmers of all ages and the future Léon Marchand, will be able to enjoy this innovative, high-performance space, designed to welcome the public all year round. The project promises a beautiful landscaped setting, sure to delight the Alto-Séquanais and other visiting swimmers.
