That's what we're hoping for in the future, with Paris FC's shock announcement last year that they were developing free home tickets for the first time in the history of modern soccer.
And the club is renewing this offer for the new season, with free ticket sales at the Stade Charléty until the end of the season, in both Ligue 2 for men and D1 for women. The club's aim is to welcome a varied public and to promote generosity via an association at each match.
Paris FC, founded in 1969, has thus been able to increase attendance at its matches, with over 105,000 people attendinǵ matches over the last 6 months, twice as many as the previous season. The match against ASSE even recorded its first sell-out and broke the record for the number of spectators at Stade Charléty, with 17,358.
Above all, the club wanted to"reconnect with the popular essence of soccer". In the club's view, a match should be a sporting spectacle open to all, with events such as the "lucarne d'Evry" in the corridors of Stade Charléty. This free service is only possible thanks to the involvement of the club's shareholders and partners, who must generate resources that exceed the club's revenue shortfall.
Rather than paying for their tickets, fans will be invited to support the associations highlighted at each match, with the aim of "building a society" around soccer. Last year, 9 associations benefited from this program: Secours Populaire, On remplit le frigo, Protection civile, La fondation pour le sport inclusif, Gol de letra, Union pour l'enfance, Un espoir pour Haby, L'école à l'hôpital and Vaincre la Mucoviscidose.
