Whether you're an avid Paris-Saint-Germain fanor an apprentice supporter, this short guide provides a summary of the sometimes little-known experiences on offer at a match at the Parc des Princes! In recent years, the Paris stadium has become a much more family-friendly venue, catering for all kinds of audiences, from historic supporters to parents wishing to share their passion for soccer with their children, to tourists out and about in the capital.
First of all, you need to get your ticket for the match, and that's no easy task! Unless you have a season ticket or know someone who does, you need to get in early, as soon as the date is announced, as demand is very high for the Parisian club. You can also go to the official Ticketplace resale platform, but the price of tickets can be substantial, depending on the location. Above all, don't buy tickets outside these options, as you run the risk of being ripped off!
Depending on your profile, some stands are more optimal than others! The Auteuil tribune, for example, is home to the club's Ultras, who electrify the stadium during the match with their many songs! It's the liveliest part of the stadium, and a real experience. On the Boulogne side, it's a little quieter, as the days when fans used to talk back to each other are over, but that doesn't mean the atmosphere isn't great, and the view across Auteuil is any less impressive!
The Paris stand is excellent for families, and offers plenty of entertainment! You'll often find the club's mascot, Germain, there. As for Borelli, it's a little more expensive and harder to get to! Whenever possible, we recommend taking advantage of the curves, which offer a breathtaking view of the action and allow you to get the most out of your visit.
If you're just starting out on your fan adventure, you'll want to opt for matches with no particular stakes, against Ligue 1 opponents less highly-rated than Lens or Marseille, as tickets will be more affordable. Well, once you've got the ticket in your pocket, it's off to the Parc des Princes! With good transport links, the stadium is located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, next to Jean Bouin, the home of rugby and Roland-Garros, making it ideal for sports fans!
How do I get to the Parc des Princes in Paris? What you need to know before you come
Located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris, the Parc des Princes plays host to a large number of PSG soccer matches every year, as well as a number of musical events. Here are a few handy tips for getting to the Parc des Princes, whether you opt for public transport or the car. [Read more]
Depending on where you are in the Parc, you'll need to enter through different gates, and can choose the nearest metro station to get there: Porte de Saint-Cloud, Porte d'Auteuil, Michel-Ange-Molitor or Exelmans, on lines 9 and 10. Allow a few minutes' walk to get to the stadium, and get there early to avoid the crowds. To take advantage of the fan zone before the match, head for Porte de Saint-Cloud!
You can also come by car, but parking spaces are a rare commodity, so it's best to leave your car at a few stations and return by public transport. For those who live close by or aren't afraid to pedal, the ideal way is to come by bike! Free, secure parking is available on site, and you can even have your bike repaired if necessary! Bus routes 22, 32, 52, 62 and 72 can also take you to your destination. If you want to live the experience to the full and enjoy the entertainment, try to arrive a good two hours before the match - it's ideal!
When it comes to catering, the Parc des Princes has it all! In the fan zone, numerous foodtrucks are set up, with a wide choice of foods from around the world. Inside the stadium, you'll find burgers, hot dogs, croque-monsieurs and nachos, with quality ingredients and regularly changing recipes, so you can try out different tastes if you come several times, of course! Refreshment stands are set up on all three levels, so that no one goes hungry. In some stands, you can even order with a QR code on your phone and pick up your menu directly, without queuing!
The stadium is now equipped with 100% secure charging stations for your phones. Enough to save your evening! Not many people know this, but for the slightest problem or request, you'll be able to find Stadium Coaches (look for the red jackets!), on hand to deal with problems throughout the evening.
During the match against Lens, the first Bodega in the club's history took place in the Tribune Paris. The extra entertainment made for a very festive post-match atmosphere, and a welcome change from the usual late-night rush to catch a metro before it gets crowded. We hope the event will be repeated and involve more stands in the future, as the atmosphere is incredible, with a DJ in top form, dancers in rhythm and a particularly gifted saxophonist. Just the thing to prolong the experience!
For a number of years now, the Parc des Princes has been a great place to take your children to experience a soccer match in the safest possible conditions. The Paris Grandstand is highly recommended, with a wide range of pre-match activities to keep the youngsters entertained and give them a foretaste of the match.
Of course, if your child is under 16 and a soccer fan, the best thing to do is to sign them up for the Junior Club, where a special grandstand will be reserved for them. That's how we create the fans of tomorrow! Special make-up, mini-games, messages to the players... you can even celebrate your birthday with the mascot! What's more, children enjoy benefits all year round, and can take part in special events or even escort the players onto the pitch!
Whether you're a student club or an amateur club in the Paris region, Paris-Saint-Germain has a group offer just for you! You'll be able to choose your match, take advantage of a catering area and benefit from grouped seating in the grandstand - enough to make all the participants happy! The Football Room is an area dedicated to young fans of the game, with an artificial turf pitch, table soccer, ball activities and other sporting activities.
The most VIP of you are well catered for at the Parc des Princes! While the Paris-Saint-Germain experience can be enjoyed regardless of your bank account, the offers are exceptional for those who want to experience matches with prestige. The SO/Bar, for example, is located under the Parc's roof and offers a bird's-eye view of the pitch, so you can experience the match from an unprecedented vantage point, while enjoying gourmet dishes.
Companies can also rent boxes for the season, to impress their staff and share a few memorable hours with them. Some have exceptional views over the grounds, and offer a range of ongoing services, including top-of-the-range catering. For works councils, Le Duplex offers a spectacular view of the Parc, on the quarter-bend of the Paris stand, with a comfortable terrace.
