What's the latest on the Poissy Campus, Paris-Saint-Germain 's new training center ? Good news for the Parisian club: the 74-hectare complex in the Yvelines is ready to welcomefirst-team players this summer, in July 2023! The project, which began in 2016, was disrupted by the health crisis and construction work fell behind schedule, but it is now ready for Mbappé and co. to train before official matches!
After the summer break, professional footballers will be able to start using the campus' state-of-the-art facilities, joined in January by the women's team and the training center. Theofficial inauguration will take place this autumn, in the presence of Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and Jean-Claude Blanc, the club's former general manager. On the agenda for this immense space are balneotherapy, a medical area, a huge weight room, catering and video rooms, a dozen training pitches and on-site accommodation, not forgetting the panoramic terrace overlooking the capital.
Thanks to the campus, the youngest players will be able to grow up in contact with the professionals, and Paris-Saint-Germain will finally be able to gather in one place, without having to exile itself to the other end of the Île-de-France region. And the construction work isn't over yet: a second phase will begin in 2024, to install the infrastructure dedicated to judo and handball. A 3,000-seat stadium is also due to be built by 2028, to eventually host home matches for the women's and U19 teams. In other words, Paris-Saint-Germain is still going strong.
