With the extreme heat that hits the Paris region every summer, during the school vacations and on sunny days, the desire to dive in and swim in cool water is growing.
There's no shortage of places to cool off in the Seine-et-Marne département: fromwater playgrounds and inflatable courses at leisure centers, to free swimming pools, paddling pools and other temporary beaches accessible during the summer months, there's no doubt that 77 is the perfect spot for a summer swim, without even having to leave the Île-de-France region to go to the seaside.
These include Wam Park, the leisure park at Fontainebleau with its giant slides, the summer beach that takes place in the town of Meaux every summer vacation, the leisure parks at Buthiers and Vaires-Torcy.... And the good news is that some of these bathing spots are easily accessible by public transport from Paris or by car, with less than an hour's drive from the capital. So, why not take a dip in Seine-et-Marne and spend the afternoon lazing by the water?
