Rodin/Bourdelle - Corps à corps: the exhibition at the Musée Bourdelle

Sculpture lovers, mark your calendars! The Musée Bourdelle is hosting an exhibition of works by two renowned sculptors, Auguste Rodin and Antoine Bourdelle, entitled Rodin/Bourdelle: Corps à corps, from October 2, 2024 to February 2, 2025. The tour continues with an exploration of the aesthetics of the fragment, the ability of Rodin and Bourdelle to give expressive autonomy to parts of the human body, such as the head, hand or torso. This section highlights the impact these fragments had on modern art, notably through works by Raymond Duchamp-Villon, Constantin Brancusi and Alberto Giacometti. Finally, the last section of theexhibition, devoted to metamorphoses and hybridizations, highlights both artists' fascination with mythology and their innovative interpretations of figures such as centaurs, revealing the form's inexhaustible creative potential.
