Mille et une Orchidées 2024, the floral exhibition in the large greenhouses of the Jardin des Plantes

From February 8 to March 4, 2024, the Mille et une Orchidées exhibition is once again calling on all flower lovers, and orchids in particular. Join us in the Grandes Serres of the Jardin des Plantes for an immersion into hundreds of flower varieties.

This 2024 edition highlights orchid-related professions. You'll have the unique opportunity to hear from gardeners, botanists, growers and enlightened amateurs.

To enhance the experience, two "favorites" are proposed: one designed by Alain Delavie, an expert in the plant world, and the other by the gardeners of the Grandes Serres and theArboretum de Versailles-Chèvreloup. The Arboretum, a Muséum site, usually presents its tropical greenhouses only on guided tours. This exhibition is therefore a rare opportunity to admire these magnificent specimens up close.

The educational activities are aimed at everyone, from experts to neophytes. It's an opportunity to discover original orchids, learn about their care, and even learn how to repot them. An ephemeral sales area of 150 m2 also enables you to acquire superb orchid specimens.

Exhibitors include major players such as the City of Paris (Jardin botanique/Serres d'Auteuil), Orchidium, Vacherot & Lecoufle, and many others, all showcasing an impressive variety of orchids. This exhibition is an opportunity to arouse curiosity, learn and admire the beauty of these exceptional plants.

Associations such as the Fédération France Orchidées (F.F.O) and the Association Française, Culture et Protection des Orchidées (A.F.C.P.O.) will play a key role, offering advice and entertainment.

Special "Orchids... Wild!" events are scheduled every day during zone C school vacations, and on Wednesdays and weekends outside these periods. The Garden is accessible via 57 rue Cuvier, 75005 Paris, with opening hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (6 p.m. from February 28), except on Tuesdays. Admission is €9 full price and €7 concessions.
