The Lantern Festival returns to the Parc de la Villette in Paris for its 2024 edition

How about taking part in the Fête des Lanternes 2024 at the Parc de La Villette in Paris ? Get out your diary to make sure you don't miss the lantern parade, to be held on Saturday December 7, 2024 from 5 p.m., promising to fascinate young and old alike.

Since 2015, this festive event has been lighting up the streets and bringing us together around hundreds of lanterns, creating a magical atmosphere. This year, the park will once again be transformed into a place of poetic and musical wandering, where everyone can contribute to the sparkle of the route by wearing lanterns hand-designed in advance, during dedicated workshops in particular.

Important: please note that lanterns will not be sold or distributed on the day of the event. Lanterns are made of paper, silk and wicker, and must be prepared in advance. What's more, no flying lanterns will be released. Instead, come and admire the park on December 7 in its warm, soft light, and let yourself be transported by this walk. It's a chance to discover the Parc de la Villette from another angle, by candlelight.

The lantern parade is part of the "Winter Party" program of Christmas festivities, which this year includes the Little Villette space, a circus and a Christmas village.

These events are taking place alongside other festivals of lights and Christmas strolls that are sure to brighten up the month of December 2024 in Paris.
