Well-known to local residents, this hot spot is an ideal place to discover with family, friends or even lovers.
For lovers of flora and gardens, the Parc Floral is a mine of discovery. More than 3,000 plant collections adorn this magnificent 35-hectare site. Some of the gardens even offer an exotic backdrop that makes you want to travel.
Map of the Parc Floral de Paris :
The Parc Floral de Paris is part of the"Jardin Botanique de la Ville de Paris" complex, which also includes theArboretum de l'école de Breuil, the Parc de Bagatelle and the Serres d'Auteuil. Formerly military grounds, it was created in 1969 by landscape architect Collin, who was undoubtedly inspired by Japanese gardens. In fact, there are some sublime Zen gardens to discover.
Don't miss the Quatre-Saisons garden and the Valley of Flowers. Each season has its own discoveries and flowers. Irises and rhododendrons in May, tulips in April, roses in June, not forgetting the fabulous dahlias from July to October, there's always something to discover.
As we stroll among the beautiful plants and multicolored flowers, a strange call can first be heard before we see the magnificent peacocks that have proudly taken over the premises. Here, the hustle and bustle of Parisian life seems far away. We feel as if we've returned to the tenderest age, lulled by the carefree spirit of happy days.
As well as being a charming place to stroll, the Parc Floral is also a magnificent playground. For young and old alike, there's something for everyone. Open-air games, slides, zip-lines, mini-golfs, acrobatic courses or even rides on Rosalie, the Parc Floral's famous quadricycles, here you are in a place where life is always good.
The program of discoveries includes the Butterfly Greenhouse, open free of charge with the entrance ticket from May 15 to October 15. Recreating the climatic conditions of a tropical garden, this is the only butterfly greenhouse where you can see native butterfly species.
You'll also find plenty of food and drink on site . Indoors or on the terrace, head to the Magnolias café-restaurant for burgers, salads and croques. Also on the menu are waffles, desserts and a variety of ice creams, perfect for a snack on the way.
