With a surface area of 10 hectares, 5 of which are open to the public, the École du Breuil garden has been awarded the Jardin remarquable label. Located to the east of the Bois de Vincennes, near Joinville-le-Pont (94), it's a lovely garden, free and open to all, where you can stroll and relax with family and friends all year round.
In the garden of the École du Breuil, you could almost be caught lounging by the artificial pond, strolling along the bucolic paths of the English garden, taking a break under the blooming magnolia... Or you could lose yourself observing the collections of perennials, the landscape garden, the rose garden or the bamboo collections...
The different landscaped areas to discover at the École du Breuil :
Inaugurated in 1867 by Prefect Haussmann, the École du Breuil is a place of theoretical instruction in arboriculture and horticulture. Every year, the school welcomes more than 300 students, in school or apprenticeship training, from the second year of secondary school to Masters level, to train them for careers in landscape and nature. During your visit, only half of École du Breuil's gardens are open to the public: the other half is actually private and reserved for students and teachers.
The École du Breuil garden is free and open to all: it's open to the general public every day of the week, with opening times varying according to the month of the year. To get there, take the RER A to the Joinville-le-Pont stop, or take bus 77 or 201 to the École du Breuil stop. Then, to continue your stroll, simply cross the Route de la Pyramide, as the garden is located directly opposite theArboretum de Paris, which has also been awarded the "jardin remarquable" label. Enjoy the walk!
