Once a royal farm, the Ferme de Gally in Saint-Cyr l'École still retains a certain panache from that era, as the site is adjacent to the park of the Château de Versailles. Of the three Gally farms in the Ile-de-France region, Saint-Cyr is the largest: and with good reason, as there's so much to do here, it's a great place to spend the day, with or without children!
We start with the educational farm, perfect for toddlers and older children alike with its multitude of activities: you can discover the farm's furry and feathered residents with barnyard birds, goats that can be petted directly in their enclosure, ewes and their lambs, pigs or even, on a larger scale, horses, cows and donkeys. The animals roam freely on the farm or in their enclosures: all are perfectly accustomed to the presence of children and adults alike, and it's a real pleasure to stroke and observe these farm animals on a daily basis. In the distance, you'll be able to see the 200-odd beehives at the Ferme de Saint-Cyr l'École: this is where the farm's honey is produced, and you can buy it in the store! You can also climb aboard a real tractor and drive it (for real), in the farmyard.
Then it's off to the Bois de Gally, where three trails await you for a fun and educational stroll. You can transform yourself into a tiny insect by slipping into the skin of a little beast, discover the wild animals of the Ile-de-France region... Then head to the educational farm for a workshop (extra charge) to discover how to make homemade apple juice, butter from the churn or bread, depending on the season!
Then it's on to the cueillette de Gally, just a kilometer away, to stock up on the fruits, vegetables, herbs and even flowers grown in Saint-Cyrusing sustainable agriculture methods. Here, the kitchen garden covers over 60 hectares, with varieties to pick according to the season. Apples, plums, strawberries, blackcurrants, raspberries, tomatoes, eggplants, zucchinis, squash, onions, blueberries, gherkins... Many (many) varieties are grown here at Ferme de Gally, and if you don't know anything about vegetable gardening, don't panic: we'll explain everything to you before you leave for the picking fields!
After a sporty harvest, it's time for a snack at Café de Gally, the farm's cocooning spot, where you can refuel with a hot drink and a delicious cake. Next door, don't miss the delicious crêpes and galettes made with local ingredients at the brand-new Crêperie de Gally during your lunch break.

If you've got a bit of time left over, the store features a beautiful "garden center" section, with countless potted plants at very attractive prices, and a second-hand decorating section that's entirely second-hand.
