Fête de la Pomme 2024: events, discovery workshops and games at the Saint-Cyr l'Ecole farm (78)

From September 21 to 22, the Ferme de Gally in Saint-Cyr l'Ecole, in the Yvelines department, is organizing a major Apple Festival, at a time when the harvest of this fruit is in full swing. So, to celebrate this moment in style, come and pick kilos of apples at the pick-your-own orchard, but also take part in fun workshops for children and gourmet workshops based around this autumn fruit.

What's on the agenda? It's time for the whole family to come and discover or rediscover the beautiful Ferme de Gally, from its pick-your-own garden where you can unearth numerous varieties of seasonal vegetables, fruit and flowers, to its educational farm and small woodland. There's also a huge market selling products from the farm and local producers, as well as an area specially designed for workshops.

For the more dexterous, there's the Guillaume Tell workshop, where they can try their hand at aiming an apple at the head of a straw dummy (using a bow adapted for children), awaken their senses at an apple tasting workshop, learn how to make apple compote, apple bread or a vitamin-packed smoothie, and much more.

Creative workshops will also be on offer, including coloring, wool frames and small clay apples. In short, the apple is the queen of this weekend of events at the Ferme de Gally in Sait-Cyr l'École: admission is €12.50 per child and €6 per adult.

Children's workshops run continuously, with limited places per session, from 10am to 1pm, then from 2pm to 4:30pm. An animal care session will take place from 5:30pm and, for the little gourmets, it's also possible to have a snack entirely homemade at the farm, with crêpes, fresh (or hot) apple juice flavored with cinnamon and a hot drink!
