Who hasn't dreamed of strolling through a castle at dusk? On Friday, October 18 and Saturday, October 19, 2024, get ready for the 2024 edition of Nuit des Châteaux. This year, around a hundred castles and monuments in France are taking part in the event, giving the general public the chance to discover or rediscover these magnificent estates, dating from the Middle Ages to the Age of Enlightenment.
The concept is the brainchild of start-up Dartagnans, France's first crowdfunding platform enabling citizens to help preserve our heritage through donations. La Nuit des Châteaux is a playful way of raising awareness of the need to preserve our treasures, thanks to a nocturnal event that brings together history buffs and the curious eager to make beautiful discoveries.
