TheHotel Raphael was opened in 1925 by Leonard Tauber. The founder wanted to preserve the intimate, private atmosphere of the place by giving it a limited number of rooms.

Today, this family-run group is managed by Véronique Valcke , who continues the tradition by preserving the overall spirit of the hotel.
In the entrance hall, an exquisitely decorated gallery leads to the English bar. A warm, cosy atmosphere emanates from the bar, thanks to its subdued lighting in a preponderance of red. Le Raphael's elegant decor, comfortable banquettes and garnet-red velvet armchairs give the place an unrivalled charm. On the drinks front, head bartender Christian Gomez brilliantly decelerates your every cocktail whim.
For example, you'll be able to choose between an exceptional "mojito" and a "bloody mary" dear to Patrick Timsit. Indeed, statesmen, political leaders, intellectuals, film directors, actors, writers and journalists regularly take up residence at the Hôtel Raphael for a drink or a night out. Serge Gainsbourg, for example, spent more than a year in this Avenue Kléber establishment. The hotel's discretion, intimacy and refinement have always attracted celebrities from all over the world. A quick lunch will whet your taste buds even more.
As soon as the warm weather arrives, Raphael - La Terrasse becomes your favorite place to sip one of Raphael's many cocktails. The terrace, with its 360° panoramic view of Paris, is without doubt the hotel's most charming feature.
Raphael - La Terrasse, open from May to September, offers an idyllic setting for lunch, dinner or tea, ensuring a moment of intense well-being. Lush with fruit trees and topiaries, the terrace is furnished with teak tables and chairs and white linen parasols. Among the hotel's special features is a giant marble chessboard created as a tribute to the hotel's founder and the French Chess Club.
