Yes, Parisians love to get together with friends and family on the banks of the Seine, the river so beloved by the capital's inhabitants.
And there are plenty of waterfront venues in the City of Light. These include Rosa Bonheur sur Seine, Bateau Phare and Les Maquereaux...
Since the start of the new school year, a new venue has been added to this long list, thanks to the 'Réinventer la Seine' project launched by Paris City Hall. The name? Scilicet. Located in Paris's 1st arrondissement, at No. 134 Voie Georges Pompidou, opposite the Palais de Justice, this bar on the Seine is set to brighten up the daily lives of many Parisians with its festive, convivial concept.
In terms of décor, Scilicet has opted for a"rustic, Berlin-style" feel, using pallets and recycled wood furniture, combined with hanging greenery.
While the long interior, which can accommodate up to 200 people, offers a cosy ambience, the outside of the guinguette gives way to a beautiful 175 m² terrace where Parisians can gather around large tables.
But what's there to eat and drink? Well, the Scilicet menu offers a range of hot drinks to keep you warm in winter, as well as cold drinks such as beer (Demory Paris), wine and champagne, not forgetting mocktails and cocktails (€9). Discover the must-have'Mojito','Moscow Mule' and'Caïpirinha', as well as the'Green Tonic' (gin, a touch of wild elderflower, rosemary and fresh cucumber, Tonic La French) and the'Pimm's moi je rêve' (Pimm's liqueur, lemonade, fresh orange, fresh mint powdered with strawberry).
To accompany all this, Le Scilicet suggests French fries, charcuterie, cheese or mixed boards, as well as world street food-style tapas (falafel, honey chicken brochettes, croquetas, veggie samoussas, slice of pizza...).
So, are you ready to get to know Le Scilicet? Come and chill out on the waterfront at this new Parisian spot!
