The Tarte Tropézienne, it's a whole story... It all began in 1955, when Alexandre Micka opened his pastry shop in the streets of Saint-Tropez, where he offered a famous cream brioche made from a grandmother's recipe, the secret of which he fiercely guarded.
The village of Saint-Tropez became known for its interest in the world of cinema, welcoming many great stars: the cream brioche also benefited from the success of Saint-Tropez, thanks to the filming of Roger Vadim's Et Dieu créa la femme. Yes, because all the film crew discovered the pastry, and in the lot, Brigitte Bardot who suggested a name for this delicacy: "La Tarte de Saint-Tropez".
The legend of the Tarte Tropézienne was thus born; its inimitable taste and delicacy crosses time and distance to be found today in Paris!
"Often imitated, never equaled", the recipe of the Tarte Tropézienne is worth a visit. This speciality with its inimitable know-how, with its perfumed cream and sprinkled sugar, always made in the greatest confidentiality according to traditional manufacturing methods - including cooking in a copper cauldron - makes it a unique pastry of which it would be a shame to be deprived.
It is therefore in its original form that you can find it in the La Tarte Tropézienne store that opened in Paris, in the Saint-Germain des Près district, which also offers fruitier forms - with strawberry or raspberry - in all formats (a Baby Trop' format allows you to enjoy the tart in one bite! )
In addition to the famous Tarte Tropézienne and its variations, the brand offers a new gourmet range called"les spécialités tropéziennes" which reinterprets the classics of pastry making by integrating the inimitable cream of the Tarte Tropézienne. You can now try the "éclairs tropéziens" or the "mille-feuilles tropéziens".
In short, don't hesitate to discover La Tarte Tropézienne store, especially if you never had the time to go to Saint-Tropez: this is the store that will make you remember your vacations because a piece of Saint-Tropez has been invited to Paris, and it would be sad to miss it.
