Just a stone's throw from the Sacré Coeur, theHôtel Particulier Montmartre is tucked away between two narrow streets. Accessible only via a small private lane, the beautiful bourgeois-style residence nestles in a lush green garden, ideal for enjoying fine weather. Its secret location and tranquil setting make it both charming and romantic.
L'Hôtel Particulier Montmartre is a confidential place steeped in history, nestled between avenue Junot and rue Lepic, in one of the Butte's last private gardens. Former home of the Hermès family, this 19th-century bourgeois house has stood the test of time before being transformed into a charming hotel. It' s the smallest hotel in Paris, with just 5 rooms, or rather 5 suites, to make you feel right at home.
Its elegant architecture and verdant setting recall the atmosphere of country houses of yesteryear, contrasting with the hustle and bustle of Paris. Bought and refurbished in 2007 by film director Oscar Comtet, the hotel has become an intimate setting dedicated to the art of living, blending contemporary design with a bohemian spirit. Its cosy lounges and hidden bar make it a popular address for lovers of unusual and refined places. It's also a favorite with celebrities, thanks to its limited private street access.
Inside, the restaurant is cosy and refined, like a private salon. The decor focuses on the history of Montmartre, and gives the impression of being in a family home. Velvet armchairs, flowers and books create a warm and inviting ambience.
It's the ideal setting for a weekend brunch for two or a group of friends, especially if you fancy a stroll around the Basilica before or afterwards. In this cosy setting, the €55 menu features a number of classic dishes.
To start, three choices of starter: banana pancakes with chocolate sauce, a saltier version with smoked bacon and maple syrup, or fromage blanc with homemade granola and fresh fruit. Classic but well-executed combinations that whet the appetite without weighing you down.
On the main course, the inevitable eggs Benedict are on the menu, served with a creamy hollandaise sauce, sautéed spinach and smoked bacon - with asmoked trout option(+5€ ) for fans of iodized flavors. Another alternative: avocado toast topped with a poached egg, with the option of adding bacon or smoked trout (+5€). Fans of freshness can opt for a Caesar salad, generously topped with croutons, parmesan and grilled chicken.
For a sweet touch, choose between a melting chocolate mousse or a comforting apple crumble with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Accompanied by coffee or tea, and your choice of squeezed fruit juice(orange or grapefruit), a well-balanced brunch is complete.
The experience is savored in a timeless setting, between elegant armchairs and lush natural surroundings. Whether it's a moment for two or a break with friends, Hôtel Particulier Montmartre promises a discreet gourmet break. Don't forget to book in advance: the address remains confidential, but insiders are not mistaken.
In short, a quality brunch in an enchanted setting that's sure to win you over. Note that the place also hides a discreet Très Particulier bar, worth trying out, and a lovely terrace for sunny days.
