Did you know that on the 6th floor of the Printemps Haussmann women's department store, you'll find the Bleu Coupole restaurant and tea room? It's a discreet spot with a breathtaking view over the rooftops of Paris and the Sacré Coeur. Located under the immense dome of the department store, we're charmed by its magical setting.
Every day, the spot transforms itself into an afternoon tea room, offering us the chance to settle down for a coffee, a tea or even enjoy a gourmet tea time any day of the week, from 3pm to 7pm. An afternoon tea that's still affordable: €70 for 2, or €35 per person.
This new tea time has been imagined by Clément Blondeau for the savory part and Bryan Esposito for the sweet part. The chef, who was appointed the department store's pastry chef this summer, has come up with a host of ideas to delight us, including a pop-up cocktail bar and ephemeral pastries on the first floor, and a Yule log.

Calisson sudashi hazelnut tart
Chocolate passion coriander entremet

1 hot drink per person
Glass of Veuve Cliquot champagne extra + €18/Cup
The portions are generous. We have to admit, we didn't eat that evening afterwards. The crab roll is delicious and the tartelette crisp and fine. We liked the soft madeleines with a surprise lemon center. As for the pastries, the calisson tartlet with its good taste of sudashi is surprising, while the chocolate entremets with their good taste of passion awaken the taste buds. All to be accompanied by tea, coffee, cappuccino or homemade hot chocolate.
In short, for the ideal spot before or after a shopping spree, to settle down under a beautiful cupola or just to enjoy a good tea time while admiring Paris, this is a good plan to try out.
