Chefs de Gare 2019, 37 stations in France celebrate gastronomy

From October 7 to 13, 2019, 37 railway stations across France are putting gastronomy in the spotlight by inviting gourmets to meet culinary specialists and taste their products and menus specially created for the occasion over 7 days.

From October 7 to 13, 2019, Chefs de Gare returns for another edition in 37 stations across France . Once again this year, SNCF Gares & Connexions is putting gastronomy in the spotlight and inviting gourmets to come and discover regional chefs and taste artisans in the heart of the stations.

7 Chefs de Gare pavilions will be set up in the stations, where star chefs, MOFs, influencers and associations promoting regional products will be on hand for events, demonstrations and tastings.

The Chefs de Gare road show will visit 12 stations across France:

  • Friday October 4: Paris Saint Lazare with the Club des Chefs de Gare, featuringÉric Frechon, Thierry Marx, Michel Roth, Christian Le Squer and Michel Rostang, who will be putting on an exceptional culinary show, and Lille Flandres with Damien Laforce, former TopChef season 10 contestant.
  • Monday, October 7: Rennes and Strasbourg
  • Tuesday, October 8: Tours and Nancy
  • Wednesday, October 9: Bordeaux and Dijon
  • Thursday, October 10: Toulouse and Annecy
  • Friday, October 11: Marseille and Paris Est
  • Saturday, October 12: Paris Gare de Lyon

But the SNCF is also inviting you to get involved in the Chefs de Gare event with the first Chefs de Gare cooking competition. The aim of this national cooking competition, open to amateurs, is to promote regional gastronomy .

From October 4 to 11, 7 regional competitions will be held to determine the 7 finalists who will take part in the grand national final, to be held in Paris on Saturday October 12 in the presence of Michelin-starred chef Michel Roth.
