"Democratizing pastry without taking the mystery out of it, this is the aim of L'ULTIME so that everyone can enjoy a chef's pastry at home. Today, we no longer buy to feed us but to enjoy an experience. Our mission is to create an emotion, to surprise and to mark our clients' lives" Jennifer COHEN SOLAL says.

L'Ultime is also caled "the best cake in the world", it might sound conceited and yet, Jennifer explains that it's a cake made to please as many people as possible and likely to make everyone agree with it. Over a thousand consumers have been surveyed about their tastes and in terms of balance and textures so that chefs could create their recipe. Chefs have met a lot to create the ultimate recipe and follow the creation in a lab set in Ile de France.

The entremet and the chocolate shell are made of an exclusive chocolate (named L'Ultime) concocted by Valrhona and the chefs. Why a chocolate shell? Simply because it's easier to carry the cake and keep it stand because you should know that this pastry 2.0 is only available online and can be delivered to your door only in Paris and the the inner suburbs of Paris, under 2 hours max.

Ultimately, how does it taste? Well, it's a nice surprise. We discover a tasty chocolate, that's not too strong and it stays quite round in the mouth. It may look heavy but the cake is easy to eat and several people around me have asked for some more. Both crunchy, soft, creamy and gooey, it'll delight everyone. It's made of chocolate mousse, praline panna cotta, salted butter caramel, tasty and crunchy pieces of nuts and a soft cake. A fresh and delicious mix.
