In these times of heat wave, how about an ice cream? And to get off the beaten track, we go to Fruttini by MO, an ice cream shop located in the 6th district of Paris, near the Bon Marché. An establishment which proposes sorbets and ice creams of the most particular. And for good reason: based on the principle of frosted lemons and oranges, the house offers the possibility to sweet tooths to discover a whole lot of other fruits declined on this concept... Kumkwats, kiwis, bananas, strawberries, passions, dragon fruits, melons, almonds, walnuts and other pears and avocados, you can have fun with these iced dishes!
Ice cream creations that have nothing to envy to the famous fruity trompe-l'oeil of Cédric Grolet! As unsweetened as a sorbet, as graphic as a pastry from the chef of Le Meurice, these fruits transport you in a whirlwind of incomparable flavors and refresh you all summer long. And a store open all year round, adapting to the seasons and offering a wider variety of fruits as the months go by.
Desserts that the editorial staff had the privilege to test. And we are not going to go by four paths... We loved it! We were able to test the almonds, a new summer offering to gourmets and gourmands, but also the passion. A real moment of gourmet freshness, and flavors of a rare finesse, for a pleasure far from being guilty. Concerning the almonds, no sorbet but a smooth and tasty ice cream. As for the passion fruit, we find all the flavors of the fruit, without the characteristic acidity that we know.
Please note that it's been over 4 years since our last visit, so the place and experience may have changed.
