Since its arrival in Paris in 2016, Bachir' s ice cream shop has never been empty, even in winter. The two ice cream stores have their regulars, and the speciality of their ice creams, Lebanese ice creams, is one of the keys to their success. The other key to success is the generosity of the Bachir family. We're warned that the big ice cream is really big, the equivalent of 5 or 6 scoops of ice cream. It only costs 5.8 euros and 8.30 euros if you top it with pistachios. But we want to try several flavors, so we're hesitant about the size.
" As many flavors as you like, whatever the size of the ice cream! So be it! On the seller's advice, we decided on two medium-sized ice creams, and we were right! One of the ice creams will be classic, with strawberry, vanilla and pistachio. The other will be the specialty, achta, a little more expensive than the others, but with the pistachio coating included. It's an ice cream with milk cream and orange blossom, coated with crushed pistachios, reminiscent of mouhalabieh, the traditional Lebanese dessert.
The ice creams have a delicate, melt-in-your-mouth texture, and yet they are made without cream, but with milk and Chios mastic, a natural pistachio resin. A little secret that's not even written in the store.
As for flavors, Bachir offers vanilla, milk chocolate, strong chocolate, coffee, almonds, pistachio, but also milk flower, rose petals, lemon, blackberries, strawberries or apricots. They also make takeaway ice cream packs, starting at 15 euros per 600ml and 28 euros per liter.
We recommend you try Bachir's ice creams: they're good, generous and the pistachio coating makes all the difference.
