This is the sad return of pink october, a month dedicated to the fight against breast cancer that is still necessary to raise funds for research against this disease. Everywhere in Paris, we see initiatives popping here and there for a longer or shorter amount of time: If the Eiffel turned pink for a night, Peninsula Paris will be lit every October evenings, but not only...
Since its opening in 2014, Peninsula Paris - a palace set on Avenue Kléber (Paris 16th arrondissement) supports the fight by donating a small part of its profits to charities supporting breast cancer victims.
In 2019, it's the Fonds de Dotation EREEL that has been chosen for its legal and social help program supporting women suffering from breast cancer in order to help them keep their jobs or getting them back.
So, all October 2019 long, pastry chef Dominique Costa will provide a pink October special teatime with delicious creations (savory toasts and pastries), a delight for 49 euros to enjoy - if you want to - with Caprice cocktail by barman chef Mathieu Le Feuvrier especially created.
At Peninsula Paris spa, a small amount of money is donated for each 90-minute organic research facial treatment of your choice.
Other initiatives exist in Paris, you can find them all in our Pink October 2019 guide.
