This event is essential for the association, which supports medical and scientific research all year round, and raises awareness of breast cancer diagnosis among women. While significant progress has been made in medical research and quality of life for sufferers over the last few decades, it is vital to continue the fight against the disease.

One woman in eight is likely to develop breast cancer during her lifetime. With this awareness-raising campaign, the Pink Ribbon association is encouraging all women to undergo regular screening, in order to effectively combat this disease. Detected in time, 9 out of 10 breast cancers are cured.
