Before, an office building. Since October 2014, a sublime 4-star hotel called Le Marianne. In the meantime, the will of a passionate owner, who wanted to invest in the project of an intimate and artistic hotel. Intimate, because each room is designed like a small Parisian apartment (and God knows, Parisians live in small apartments!), some overlooking the courtyard, others with balconies overlooking the street. Artistic, because they were designed by a creative duo, Vincent Bastie and Charles Zana, and decorated with works of art, some from the owner's personal collection.
From the moment you enter, the hotel invites you into a luxurious cocoon of softness and elegance. White and black marble for the reception area, velvet for the seats in the reading room, just to the right as you enter: you'll be happy to sit there for hours, enjoying the roundness of the seats designed by Charles Zana and the magnificent marble fireplace, topped by a round mirror and surrounded by books and photographs.
The rooms and lounges aren't very large: the patio reserved for breakfast is pleasant, all transparent and green, but has only a few tables. So no tourist buses or groups of colleagues. You can come alone, as a couple or as a family, to enjoy the intimate setting.
In the basement, a wellness area features a number of exercise machines, a steam room and a massage room, allowing customers to relax after a day of museum and shopping tours.
Let's move on to the rooms: with classic (390 euros), superior (450) and deluxe (550) rooms, the hotel offers an interesting aesthetic coherence of colors and patterns. Charles Zana has designed wide headboards whose pattern (either diamond-shaped, striped or stippled) corresponds to the monochrome of each room: mustard for one, black and white for another... The aim is to have rooms that are all different, but with a similar spirit, so that guests, should they wish to return to the hotel, find a sense of familiarity without falling into a repetitive experience. Charming idea, isn't it?
The bathrooms are sublime: black marble or brown tiles, large shower or bathtub, you can already imagine spending pleasant moments pampering your body. The bedroom has ample closet space. Bouquets of flowers and bowls of fruit complete the decor.
In short, everything is done to make the guest feel at home, while enjoying a typically Parisian experience: whether biting into a grape on the wrought-iron balcony, or observing the neighbors across the street in the small courtyard, the guest will experience an intimate Paris, seen from the inside. We love this hotel for its elegant colors and softness: just by spending an hour here, we felt soothed and warm. A lovely address!
