The Parisian hotel called on the services ofAtelier Jérôme Verzegnassi to create a modern interior with a focus on the artistry so dear to the Montmartre district. The visit begins in the Lobby, where the piano-shaped reception desk allows guests to check in side-by-side, for a better welcome. A high table is dedicated to concierge services.
Here, one of the staff's missions is to act as true ambassadors of the area, giving guests the keys to it! The lobby is also home to a library, where books and works retracing the history of the district have found their place.
Then it's on to the rooms and suites. More spacious (92 rooms instead of 99 previously), they have retained their moldings, but are decorated in a way that is more in keeping with the spirit of the neighborhood, with truly contemporary settings: taupe and beige tones on the walls and frames, highlighted with electronic blue for the basic rooms, and red for the top-of-the-range rooms and suites.
For those who love a good view, some twenty rooms have balconies overlooking the famous "Iron Lady", the Tour Montparnasse or La Défense. The bathrooms are separated by a frosted " Eiffel-style " glass roof, and feature tiles identical to those found in the Paris metro, in a variety of colors. There are also mirrors surrounded by large light bulbs.
In the corridors, the Terrass'' Hôtel leaves plenty of room for surprise, with some walls featuring " advertisements " dating from the early 20th century, found and carefully restored during the renovation work.
The new restaurant, previously located on the first floor, has been moved to the 7th floor, next to the bar and the famous rooftop. Whether you come for breakfast, lunch or dinner (reservations required for non-Hotel guests), the view over the rooftops of Paris will be as magical as ever, summer or winter!
And coffee lovers will be in heaven, as the hotel has chosen to offer a special Terrass'' Hôtel blend from café Lomi, the famous artisan roaster based on rue Marcadet. The bar, too, has a new look, with Chef Barman Emeric Aguilar (ex-Bar Brûlé at the W Hôtel Opéra) at the helm. On the menu? Some fifteen signature cocktails, with a fine selection of spirits from around the world.
Finally, as an extension of the restaurant-bar, you can't help but admire the famous rooftop. This outdoor terrace, adorned with trees, flowers, deckchairs, parasols and small tables, is the perfect place to quench your thirst, nibble on a few snacks and admire the breathtaking view!
