While doctors, researchers and scientists are still on the front line in the fight against Covid-19 in the country and around the world, a unique place dedicated to the medicine of tomorrow and all its players has opened its doors in 2021 in Paris.
Called Villa M, this project has been on display since the start of the 2021 school year on Boulevard Pasteur in the 15th arrondissement of Paris, in a building owned by Groupe Pasteur Mutualité.
Behind this innovative facility, spread over approximately 8,000 square meters, are practitioners, students and interns, e-health start-ups, learned societies and professional organizations. Among the designers and creators are the architect Olivier Raffaelli, the famous designer Philippe Starck, Dr. Bertrand Mas-Fraissinet, President of Groupe Pasteur Mutualité, Dr. Michel Cazaugade, President (2014-2019) of Groupe Pasteur Mutualité, not to mention Amanda Lehmann, creator and designer of Villa M, and Thierry Lorente, also creator and designer of Villa M.
How is the architecture of Villa M new and innovative? The objective of this architectural firm through this place is to"tropicalize the City", by making the Villa M a place dedicated to caregivers, but also a place dedicated to the protection of the environment, where "Man and his constructions are no longer opposed to nature and the living, to fully take into account the ecological challenges", underlines the firm in a release. A concept of"architectural tropicalism", the result of which is a true naturalist architectural manifesto in the heart of Paris.
What does Villa M have in store for us? This place will be open to the " health community, but also to local residents, travelers and all those who make their health and well-being a priority.
Several spaces will punctuate the life of this immense glass building, including spaces for innovation, work and care. Villa M, for example, houses an e-health showroom. This is an opportunity to discover, test and experiment with the innovations that will shape the health care of tomorrow. For the more curious, conferences and events will be organized there.
Another space?Villa M's prevention area, which advises, informs and promotes well-being through themes related to nutrition, burnout, addiction, MSDs and stress management. Villa M also houses a multi-purpose gym open for group, individual or connected practices.
On the work side, Villa M is opening up to startups in co-working spaces in order to encourage open innovation, cooperation, co-evolution, sharing and the circulation of ideas between entrepreneurs and health professionals.
And since sport is health, note that Villa M offers a dedicated program. A sport-health universe with the support and expertise of certified and experienced coaches is at your disposal. The objectives: to relax, to let off steam, to surpass yourself, to manage your stress and your emotions, to refine your figure or to tone up. Villa M is also a place of rest, thanks to a hotel open to all, and spacious rooms designed by Philippe Starck. Its 67 rooms and 6 suites have been designed as green spaces. Some of them even have a balcony or a terrace to admire the Montparnasse and Invalides districts. And above all, nestled at the corner of the seventh floor, the Pasteur Suite.
