The Latin Quarter is teeming with restaurants of all kinds, and when it's time to feast, you're never quite sure which saint to choose. Michel, Louis or Germain. Greek, bistro or pizza. In this kind of situation, it's best to bet on a safe bet to avoid indigestion. The solution? A crêpe or a galette.
One of the many possibilities is the Crêperie de Cluny. A local institution, its frescoes speak for themselves. A few mice here, sailors there, confirm that the establishment already has a good few years' experience behind it. Thirty to be exact. Fortunately, the place's obsolescence has nothing to do with the welcome offered by its staff: friendly and smiling, few in number but always willing to give good advice. In these premises, recently taken over by new managers, one senses a desire to dust off the image of the house. Loïck has replaced the traditional bowls of cider with more sophisticated black ones. The decoration is still awaiting its turn for further alterations, but after the menu, which has already been revised and simplified, his turn should not be long in coming.
Until now made up of an endless list of crêpes, the menu now retains only the essentials. On the menu: sweet and savoury dishes, as well as a few traditional ones for those with more difficult appetites. Also coming soon: breakfast. A great idea for early risers who want to stroll through the neighborhood before it gets crowded. The terrace lets you soak up the summer sunshine.
With a renewed menu, a more sober interior and a new website in the pipeline, Crêperie de Cluny is an address to keep an eye on...
