Reopening of the famous feminist and LGBTQI+ bookshop Violette and Co, in the 11th arrondissement.

After closing in early 2022, the 11th arrondissement literary institution is back, thanks to the determination of feminist activists. More modern, the bookshop now houses a small café, which you can try out from October 13, 2023!

LGBT+: a welcome center to open soon in Paris 4th arrondissement

An inter-associative shelter for the LGBT+ community will open from May 17, at 22 rue Mahler (4th arrondissement), the Ville de Paris announced. It will provide help and support to LGBT+ people in need.

On International Day Against Homophobia, the Secretary of the Interior is sorry to say that the number of anti-LGBT attack victims rose by 36%. According to the minister, “these numbers shows the deep integration of homophobia and transphobia in the society” and “fall within the scope of a wider context of increasing acts of hate and identity extremisms”.
