An inter-associative shelter for the LGBT+ community will open from May 17, at 22 rue Mahler (4th arrondissement), the Ville de Paris announced. It will provide help and support to LGBT+ people in need.

In 2023, the law allowing same-sex marriage will turn ten. And it is a very symbolical year for the entire LGBT+ community. And this May 17, on International Day Against Homophobia, the Ville de Paris will celebrate this anniversary inaugurating an inter-associative welcome center devoted to this community. Located at 22 rue Mahler, in the 4th arrondissement, this 520sqm center, owned by the city, aims at welcoming foreign LGBT+ refugees and migrants. But they will also welcome victims of violence and discriminations to help and support them.

The same day, a conference about LGBT+ rights will be held at the City Hall. At the end, an award will be given to a personality or a committed association. Last but not least, a dance will be held the same night. May 17 will be a big day of celebrations and many entertainments are planned to celebrate 10 years of same-sex marriage!
